Dale Carlson
Carlson first hooked up with Craig Long in a radio production of "Wuthering Heights" in junior high, where the two were assigned to script a radio bit from the book. "Craig said he'd do the dialogue, and I said I'd storyboard it," Carlson recalled. "That worked well for me. I don't know what his problem was." Carlson was part of the posse of delinquents at Northern Illinois University when approached for an acting part. "They told me I could choose my own part," he said. "I said okay, let me be the star who gets to have a sex scene with the leading lady. I didn't think they'd actually do it, but then I got a look at the leading lady. She was so fat, when she had to look for loose change, the folds in her chin had more than the folds of her couch." Wisely, Carlson took on the intellectual role, figuring he could palm it off his resume if need be.
Carlson will be working with Tso Long Productions as a technical consultant for their upcoming film, The Maddening Taming of the Shrew Wife I Married. "What they really need is somebody to make it good," Carlson grumbled, "but instead I have to do the lighting and sound when the best thing I could do would be to kick the cords out and go have a beer." He currently lives in Lake in the Hills and works as a computer consultant for Stevenson High School.
