About Dooley's Pub and Eatery
Dooley's is located off of Roselle Road in beautiful Schaumburg, Illinois, about half a mile south of Interstate 90 and a mile or two west of IL 290/355. For whatever reason, there is a high turnover in waitresses, but the busboys get to know you in no time flat, and so does the staff.
Probably the only thing to possibly dislike about the place is its occasional high traffic from the nearby Holiday Inn. This sometimes (but only sometimes) makes the place a bit too crowded. Nevertheless, it's a great atmosphere for quiet, casual conversation (even when the jukebox is going full-blast, you can still make yourself heard with little or no effort), and if you've got a group of people and get there at a reasonable hour, it's easy to push a couple tables together. The jukebox is great (see the Retrospective page for further details), and the food is great too (try the corned beef and cabbage with buffalo wings for starters). As of summer, 2001, Thursday nights will get you $3 drinks of anything (even Black and Tans!). Saturday nights are karaoke nights (they used to be better, but they're still tolerable).
To date, Dooley's Pub and Eatery does not endorse, nor acknowledge, this web page. Probably they wouldn't care--it is free advertising, after all. But in the event that they do, we would shut it down immediately. In the meantime, get over there and enjoy some fine, authentic suburban-Chicago-Irish-pub dining and drinking!
Okay, so I'm a lousy PR writer. Bite me.
