Chris Dewey

Born: February 26, 1974 Chicago, IL
Biography

Dewey managed to live his childhood "doing the most useless things I could imagine such as setting newspapers on fire. I got yelled at. Then I went to school and became a productive...um..member of society." "Productive" might be too kind a word--Dewey spent much of his high school days in a garage band called Cemetery Ridge. "We had maybe three songs we could play sixty different ways," he said, "anywhere from thirty seconds to twelve minutes. It took six months for the idiot crowds in Lake Zurich to catch on to this. It took Long three years."

Now Dewey divides his time between his recording studio and his junior high classroom in Palatine, Illinois. He lives in Cary with his wife Kelly, their three-year-old daughter Emily, and another daughter on the way. "I needed to pay the bills, especially after signing on to this movie," he complained, adding that he thought his character got screwed out of a lot of camera time. "I kept asking Craig (Long) to get my good side on the camera and he kept saying 'What good side?' I got so sick of that damn joke I walked off the set, came back with my guitar, and played Cemetery Ridge music, which he hates. Then he shot a picture of my ass and said, 'Was that the side you were talking about?'"

Trivia

Ate a sandwich that was run over in the parking lot before kissing supermodel Kelly LeBrock, who was so impressed with his guts she dated him briefly.

Quotes

"Music is what stirs souls, creates moods, inspires creativity and makes hot women want to sleep with ugly guys. Why do you think I didn't become an engineer?"
