American Pie 2 (2001)

American Pie 2:

Jim, Oz, Kevin, Finch, Stifler, and the whole crew is back to serve up another helping of American Pie. The recipe: babes in bikinis, crazy parties, band camp, lesbians, and much more. The gang is back from their first year of college and they've vowed to make the most out of their summer. To do so, they rent a house on the beachfront and get jobs as painters to pay for the good time they're going to have. In the process, we get more disgusting, crude humor which I have to admit is a guilty pleasure for me. Actually, it wasn't really all the jokes and gags that made the movie worthwhile, but instead it's the friendship we get to see this group share. The gags are just a bonus. These raunchy movies are no longer just T & A, they actually come with a message these days. The overlying moral in the movie is that change is inevitable but as much as it seems to be a bad thing, we have the power to make it change for the better. So don't dwell in the past but instead stop to appreciate what you have now and then move forward. Some good advice for us all to live by.
